“Current trends could lead to a net employment impact of more than 5.1 million jobs lost to disruptive labour market changes over the period 2015–2020, with a total loss of 7.1 million jobs and a total gain of 2 million jobs across 15 major developed and emerging economies.”

No net technology-driven loss of ~5 million jobs materialised in the 15 economies studied: employment grew across them through 2019, and the WEF's own 2018 Future of Jobs Report reversed the forecast to project net job creation. The 2020 job losses that did occur were driven by the COVID-19 pandemic rather than the predicted labour-market disruption.
