Colossus 2 is indeed the largest tracked AI data center, but the gigawatt claim was premature and the April upgrade slipped: Epoch AI's satellite analysis in January 2026 found only ~350 MW of cooling capacity and expected 1 GW no earlier than May, and as of September 2026 Epoch still estimated Colossus 2 at about 946 MW of IT power, projecting ~1,531 MW only in Q1 2027.
