Tesla's Austin robotaxi service launched in June 2025 with in-car safety monitors, not unsupervised operation, and California rides ran with a safety driver under state permitting rules. No customer Model 3 or Model Y received unsupervised FSD in 2025; in April 2026 Musk pushed consumer unsupervised FSD to Q4 2026 at the earliest.
