“Meta is building a 2GW+ datacenter that is so large it would cover a significant part of Manhattan. We'll bring online ~1GW of compute in '25 and we'll end the year with more than 1.3 million GPUs. We're planning to invest $60-65B in capex this year.”
Meta overshot rather than missed its spending plan: full-year 2025 capex came in above the guided range at roughly $72 billion (with 2026 guidance far higher), and the Louisiana Hyperion campus proceeded as the 2GW+ build described. The compute-online and 1.3 million GPU figures are not independently auditable, so only the capex leg can be scored — and it was exceeded, not met.
