“Zoox will launch its robotaxi service to some members of the public in Austin and Miami later this year [2026], and will have 100 robotaxis on public roads once its service scales in Las Vegas and San Francisco and testing begins in the two new cities.”
As of the announcement, Zoox said rides in Austin and Miami would start with employees and their families before opening its Explorers waitlist; the company had served 350,000 riders and was awaiting an NHTSA decision on operating up to 2,500 vehicles commercially.
